Disability Insurance
DIBroker, LLC., established in 2001, is the result of a merger between
Eskra & Associates, Inc. of Coral Gables, Florida and Koll-Lenhoff
of Portland, Oregon. These long-standing insurance brokerage operations
focus almost exclusively on Individual Disability Insurance and
Long-Term Care Insurance. Today, DIBroker, LLC. is one of the largest
independent multi-company Disability and Long-Term Care Insurance
Brokerage firms in the country. DIBroker currently provides DI and
LTCI products and services to 5 national sales organizations, and
over 4900 independent insurance professionals in all 50 states.
Michael J. Eskra, Sr., CLU, RHU formed Eskra & Associates in
1992 after running Provident Life & Accident’s largest
branch office for 30 years. Peter Eskra left Paul Revere two years
later to join his father, and has established himself as a disability
industry expert. He has been an invited speaker at LIMRA. Michael
Eskra, Jr., CLTC joined in two years later after beginning his career
at Paul Revere and later at Principal. He has played a central role
in the development of long-term care insurance as a product line
for DIBroker. David Eskra, Ph.D., MBA is the most recent Principal
to join. He brings with him a general business background and experience
in the health care industry. Eskra & Associates also hired several
sales and marketing associates.
Doug Lenhoff and Jerry Koll, CLU, ChFC formed Koll - Lenhoff in
2000, after having individually established successful disability
brokerage firms of their own. Doug’s expertise is in the area
of multi-life and guarantee issue programs. Jerry began his sales
career in the industry in 1965 and became a specialist in disability
insurance in 1980. He speaks and teaches regularly on disability
subjects and is a fellow of the Life Underwriter Training Council.
DIBroker
In 1998, Michael Eskra, Sr., CLU, RHU helped found the Plus Group,
a national marketing group for disability insurance. He became the
group’s first president. It was in the Plus Group that Koll-Lenhoff
and Eskra & Associates began to work together. Each firm found
in the other a similar commitment to excellence, service, and ethical
business practices.
DIBroker is now one organization with two service centers, one in
Portland, Oregon and one in Coral Gables, Florida. Having service
centers on both coasts gives DIBroker a unique capability to provide
client support across all time zones, in real time. Additionally,
we maintain sales offices in Seattle, Washington and Tampa, Florida.
Other sales offices are planned for the future.
